Project Manager
We are bevuta IT, a Germany headquartered software company. Our team consists of tech enthusiasts and other curious people from all over Europe. Together we build and operate SaaS products like DeployBot (https://deploybot.com/), our hosted CI/CD system, or nora (https://nora-notruf.de/), the public nationwide mobile app based emergency call system in Germany. We also work forward to build further cool, new products that make lives better. Our ultimate goal is to improve the way we live and work together. And now we need you on board to accomplish our mission!
In your role as Project Manager you are working with our project management team in complex product environments which are literally life savers for its users. You are our human interface between concepters, designers, developers, ops engineers, testers, customers and our Captains in order to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
At bevuta we truly believe in working at eye level across the whole team – from interns to top management. We try to avoid cargo cult and bullshit bingo as much as possible. We value honesty, dedicated work and attention to detail.
Open source and open knowledge are really important to us. We run almost all our software ourselves, for example GitLab, Prometheus, Grafana, Mattermost, Redmine, Zammad and much more, all under NixOS. For some tasks, there is no adequate open source alternative available yet. Then we work with market-leading applications like Google Docs, Figma and Testrail. But we don’t expect you to already have experience with our complete stack and will teach you everything you need to know.
Your tasks at bevuta
- Perform independent roadmap creation, resource planning, coordination of work in a complex project environment
- Define SMART work packages and guide these tasks through all challenges ahead
- Facilitate briefings and agile formats between team members and also with clients
- Manage expectations within the team and with customers
- Continuously improve the team’s working processes and cooperation within the bevuta team together with our development leads, requirements engineers and other project managers based on our own experiences and considering good practices from third parties
Your profile
- Completed studies in an engineering field, in project management, business management or comparable experience (lateral entries are welcome!)
- Previous project management experience
- Proven fine-grained analytical skills
- Great attention and love to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with first experience in team management
- Experience with project management tooling like working with user stories, collaborating on tasks in a ticketing system, working in sprints and doing retrospectives with team members is a great plus
- You are very fluent in English (level C1 or C2, but no certificate needed)
- Good German skills (level B2 and better) are a plus
