At Melita & Partners our amazing staff is growing leaps and bounds and will need additional help as our partnerships continue to grow. We are looking for a self-motivated Accountant to join our mDigitalAccounting Department. In this role, you’ll play an important role in our company client’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law.

Accountant

Melita & Partners is a local company specializing in offering financial, accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions in the local market. Company solutions are offered through the world known platforms as such QuickBooks and Xero for which the company is the authorized re-seller. Furthermore, company offers its services to exporting markets, i.e. Albania, Northern Macedonia and now in Great Britain.

Accountant duties and responsibilities

Accountants prepare and examine financial records, ensuring records are accurate and that taxes are paid. Different types of Accountant duties and responsibilities may include the following:

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
  • Prepare financial statements according to IFRS.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Accountant skills and qualifications

In order to best perform their duties and responsibilities, an Accountant should possess the following skills and qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or any other related field (A master’s degree is an added advantage)
  • Certification and relevant experience in a managerial position is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of work experience as Accountant.
  • Experience with accounting software and working with spreadsheets.
  • Proficient English and Albanian, in both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Analytical skills.
