The British Embassy in Pristina, Kosovo, is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a full-time Programme Coordinator. Integrated within Programmes, Economy and Governance Section, the main role of the job is to coordinate various UK funded programmes in Kosovo and the region, ensure strong policy alignment with UK objectives, and effective project management to make a significant contribution to sustaining a secure, peaceful and prosperous Kosovo. This is an exciting and challenging new role. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Programmes, Economy and Governance Section, but will be exposed to coordinating the project work of all Embassy policy and programme teams. As such, willingness to work with others, strong project management skills, knowledge of the Kosovo context and good verbal and written communication skills are crucial to the role. In addition, this role requires a person who is well organised, innovative, flexible and with a ‘can do’ attitude. Respect, Creativity and Expertise are Embassy values. The job holder must be able to work full time. Some work may be required during the evenings and occasionally weekends, for which overtime or time off in lieu (where applicable) will be given. The job holder may be required to travel within and outside of Kosovo.
Employees recruited locally by the British Embassy in Pristina are subject to the Terms and Conditions of Service according to local employment law in Kosovo, as interpreted by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. All applicants must be legally able to work in the country of application with the correct visa/status or work permit. |
